Hi, I'm Will. By day I'm a software engineer, and the rest of the time you'll find me at prop for London Scottish.
We wear GPS vests every week, and every week the numbers come back without much context. As a prop, my distance was never going to look like a winger's, so comparing myself with the squad didn't tell me much. What I actually wanted to know was: how did today compare with my usual? Am I getting better across the season? When did I last hit a personal best?
Building software is the day job, so I thought I'd have a go at building the thing I wanted. That turned into Player Dashboard. Everyone gets their own numbers against their own usual, the history sticks around, personal bests turn into trophies, and coaches get the squad picture without anyone living in a spreadsheet.
We're starting with rugby clubs, and I'm looking for a few to try it out and help shape what comes next. If that sounds like your club, I'd love to hear from you.
My vision
Start small, aim big
Right now, GPS is mostly something the top clubs get. I'd love that to change: every club in the country able to get wearable GPS at a price that actually works for them, and an easy way to look back at the results without needing an analyst.
Player Dashboard is the easy-to-review bit, and that's where I'm starting. A handful of clubs, getting it right with them, and growing from there. Small steps, big ambitions.

Missing data is shown as missing, never quietly filled in.
